AP Review

Picture
So here we are. It's May. If you are one of those fortunate students who took AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics, well you have the AP Microeconomics exam to look forward to in the afternoon... *sigh*

Oh well let's take it one step at a time. Let's ace this AP Macroeconomics Exam!

5 ALL THE WAY!

What is the AP Macroeconomics Exam?

The AP macroeconomics course is designed to teach students the economic principles that are applicable to the economy as a whole.  The topics covered are: basic economic concepts, measuring economic performance, national income and price determination, the financial sector, stabilization policies, economic growth & productivity, and international trade & finance.

The AP Macroeconomics Exam format is:

Multiple-Choice (70 minutes, two-thirds of final grade)
-60 multiple choice questions
Free-Response (60 minutes including a 10 minute reading period, one-third of final grade)
-1 long free-response essay question
-2 short free-response essay questions

The essay questions require analysis of economic situations and the utilization of macroeconomic principles.  Answers need to demonstrate analytical skill and good organization, along with explanatory diagrams that augment the analysis.  Some of the questions may include graphs that need interpretation and some questions may require one or more graphs to be drawn as part of the answer.

AP Macroeconomics Graphs Review Video

This is an excellent quick review of all the graphs encountered in AP Macroeconomics. We found that, however, the video did tend to switch graphs quickly so we recommend you to hit the pause button frequently :) It's a pain we know, but as your economic teacher would say, the opportunity cost is greater than not watching this video :P

We would like to thank Mr. Medico for his contributions to this video.
