AP Review
My teacher said to me, "
And if you don't study for the test, YOU... SHALL NOT... PASS!!!"
I took his advice. I studied. You should too :)

What is the AP European History Exam?
The AP Euro course covers modern European History from 1450 to 2001. The focus is on the political, cultural, economic, and social developments that shaped this region. The course goals are to understand the major themes within Europe’s history, to be able to interpret history and analyze historical evidence, and to clearly express your understanding of this history in writing. The major topics covered in the course are:
1.) Intellectual and cultural history
2.) Political and diplomatic history
3.) Social and economic history
The AP European Exam format is:
Section I: Multiple-Choice Questions (55 minutes, 50% of final grade)
-80 multiple choice questions
Section II: Free-Response Questions (130 minutes including a 15 minute mandatory reading period, 50% of final grade)
Part A (45 minutes)
-1 Document Based Question, or DBQ
Parts B and C (70 minutes)
-Choose 1 thematic essay from a set of 3 for Part B
-Choose 1 thematic essay from another set of 3 for Part C
Section I and Section II each count towards half of the final test score. Within Section II, the DBQ is weighted at 45% and the 2 thematic essays combine for the remaining 55%. The multiple choice questions are balanced chronologically and topically. Half of them cover the period from 1450 to the French Revolution and half are on the period from the French Revolution to 2001. And about one-third of the questions are based on each of the three major topics that are listed above.
